Media Studies

The media is one of the biggest influences in modern society and means that developing a good understanding of the way we, the audience, are manipulated is increasingly important. Whilst studying any level of media course students will be expected to demonstrate analytical skills, research techniques, effective use of production technology and the ability to express an argument. As a result, Media Studies students become highly employable as they gain a wide range of transferable skills. Team work is critical to any media production and students find they develop the ability to become critical friends as they work towards producing a range of media texts.
