Why Study Business Studies?
Business Studies provides numerous transferable skills for both the world of work and higher education. Throughout the course you will have the opportunity to explore your creative side and develop your entrepreneurial skills. You will be encouraged to be innovative and use your imagination. When studying the subject at DYCA you will learn about all the key aspects of business and will also have the chance to develop a business plan to set up your own small business.
Course Overview
At Fresher and Prep you will not only study business but you will also have the opportunity to take part in an enterprise challenge which will develop things such as your team working and problem soloing skills. The course is extremely interactive at this level and learners are encouraged to use their creativity.
Further Study
We offer both BTEC First and GCSE Business for options at Senior 1. At sixth form we offer both GCE Applied Business and BTEC National. The examining body is Edexcel. At both levels the Business Studies Department has celebrated some of the best results in the academy.
